Local Unit & Position Description:
This is a new role within the Testing and Programme Management team in the Plant product centre. Plant product centre develops software products (both desktop and SaaS) for customers in the process industry. These software tools help customers design and operate their process plants and offshore facilities more safely.

The role will be critical to the ongoing success of the team, setting the roadmap for automated regression testing and delivering it.

**Your day-to-day tasks will include**:

- Development of an automated regression testing roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Working with Product Managers to give automated regression testing roadmap visibility in the overall product roadmap.
- Investigating, establishing and reporting metrics to gauge effectiveness of automated regression testing.
- Formulation of strategy for technology stack for automated regression testing, monitoring new tools and trends.
- Optimisation of existing test sets.
- Optimisation of existing test techniques.
- Introduction of future-fit stress, load and performance testing.

Position Qualifications:

- a degree in engineering, numerical or software discipline.
- an ISTQB Advanced Tester certification.
- experience of working on regression testing for a portfolio of software products.

**Desirable qualifications**:

- Ownership - this role will require a high level of autonomy and ownership.
- Engagement - there are numerous stakeholders who will be required to help, so being able to get them engaged in the process will be essential.
- Collaboration - able to look elsewhere for ideas, both within DNV and externally.
- Pragmatism - cost:benefit analysis will be key, assessing where our efforts will pay the biggest dividends.
