Job Summary
As a Stock Clerk, you will work as part of the pharmacy team and will be responsible for the dispensary stock inventory. As a Stock Clerk you will need to have:

Our highly accessible service offers opening hours across seven days and late evening. There is, therefore, a requirement to contribute to evening and weekend working in line with the needs of the business.
1. Assists with the receipt of deliveries to TMP
2. To unpack and check items received for accuracy and condition.
3. To check expiry dates whilst unpacking orders.
4. To Book in orders on JAC
5. To release orders on JAC
6. To liaise with the Pharmacy Purchasing department when orders are sent incorrectly or any queries arise.
7. To observe any special delivery requirements i.e. cold storage if unable to deal with straight away.
8. To deal with the unpacking of parcels (orders) containing medicines (including cytotoxics) that may have been damaged/broken in transit and ensure safe disposal following departmental guidelines
9. To communicate with external supplier drivers ensuring that any ‘Returns’ are picked up by the appropriate driver
10. To participate in the process of unlicensed drugs
11. Assists with the movement of goods within the pharmacy including stock rotation and location in the appropriate storage area

- Carry out rolling stock checks & twice yearly stock takes
- To answer the telephone and deal with face to face enquiries of a routine nature from a wide range of staff groups and refers appropriate queries to the relevant member of the pharmacy team
