About Membership & Strategy at The Carnegie Club
- The Membership and Strategy department focuses on providing exceptional service in planning and scheduling all aspects of our members visit to the Club to make it a truly exceptional stay.

About the role
- This is a rare opportunity to join us in the role of Member Host, helping to set the tone, cultivate the ambience and creating the experiences that make The Carnegie Club so special for our members and guests.
- From greeting our members on arrival to waving goodbye as they leave, as Member Host you will be a key part of their Skibo journey.
- Every day is different: you might be in the Great Hall mingling after breakfast, joining guests on of our scheduled estate walks, chatting at the Clubhouse over lunch service, introducing guests to our new activities’ hub The Treehouse at Overskibo, hosting cocktails and dinner in the castle, and everything else in between.
- Throughout it all, you utilise your exceptional interpersonal and hospitality skills to ensure each and every our guest has the best possible experience appropriate to their preferences.
- This means working closely with colleagues and departments across the Club to ensure that service is seamlessly connected and create the magical moments that make each visit to Skibo unique.

Who we are looking for
- Your passion for life is infectious and you’re a real people person: vibrant, engaging, and warm.
- You’re confident with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- You’re authentic and intuitive, able to understand and anticipate the needs of those around you.
- You have an impressive attention to detail, able to spot what’s right and what’s not at a glance.
- You’re familiar with the luxury sector, and have experience in a guest/client facing role or similar.

About Gratuities and Service Charge
- Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to room rates and other services at the Club that is passed directly to staff) are paid to all employees on a pro-rata basis regardless of their role.
- It is estimated that in 2024, full-time staff can expect to receive around £4,000 in addition to their annual salary.
