My client is looking for a Finance Officer to assist in the daily running on their accounts
**Your new company**
A long standing and well known business in the Agricultural and Horticultural field. Your new Employer are experts in rural living in your local area of Jersey.
**Your new role**
You will be there supporting the day to day finance function to ensure accurate communication of financial performance to my clients team.
The Finance officer will also provide support t the office management team for the daily running on of the business.
- Responsible for accurate entry of data into Sage; purchase orders, sale orders, goods received, stock items, delivery orders, payments.
- Responsible for the completion of required documentation, e.g. insurance claims, vehicle declarations and utilities permits.
- Check supplier's invoices against purchase orders and file ready for payment
- Assist in setting and reviewing selling prices and updating in Sage
- Responsible for accurate and useful financial information (creditors/accruals, debtors/prepayments, petty cash analysis schedule etc.)
- Management of the banking process (download bank reports, transactions to Sage)
- Set up supplier's payments in HSBC (weekly)
- Calculate GST returns (quarterly)
- Assist in Cash flow forecast for parent company
- Support and coordinate the financial budgeting and forecasting
- Responsible for issuing monthly statements for customers
- Transfer funds from deposit account
- Posting Monthly Schedules
- Pay IT IS/Social Security/GST

**What you'll need to succeed**
The jobholder must be able to demonstrate good commercial awareness, finance related technical skills and background knowledge. This position requires a first-rate communicator and listener. They will share best practice and learning with other members of theclients team. With a proven ability to of working in a finance function.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent IT skills - Sage and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Organised and methodical approach to work processes and procedures
- Ability to work within a team and independently without close supervision
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles & experience working in finance function
- Professional, flexible, able to work under pressure and adaptable to the changing needs of the organisation
- AAT or equivalent qualification
