A Japanese global trading company is currently seeking to recruit a Fixed-Term Treasury Operations Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave in their Finance Department.
They are seeking an all-round flexible team player who is looking to work within a treasury role. The role involves providing treasury operations support and finance administration for their offices in Paris, Dusseldorf and Milan, London sales departments and their employees. The role requires efficient, timely and accurate administration and processing skills.

**TYPE**: Full-time, 1year fixed term contract (There is potential for extension)
**WORKING HOURS**: 7 hours per day between 08.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch
**SALARY**: £30-33K depending on experience,
**BENEFITS**: Discretionary annual performance related bonus. Medical insurance, dental insurance and company pension. Overtime payable as per the requirements of the role
**START**: ASAP
**LOCATION**: Central London (Office-based role with the potential for hybrid working (2 days working from home) after successful completion of probationary period)

**Treasury Operations Assistant Main Responsibilities**:

- Daily monitoring of banking facilities
- Notifying staff of incoming fund receipts
- Creating templates and entering payment instructions onto online banking systems for subsequent checking, approval and release
- Supporting with SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) and international payment inquiries
- Daily use of SAP
- Aiding in cash management processes including reconciliations and period end close
- Accurate and timely processing of general ledger and journal entries including but not limited to: payments, receipts, deposit and loan entries/rollovers/maturities, bank charges and account transfers
- Assisting in investigation and reconciliation of company ledgers against bank ledgers
- Booking of foreign exchange contracts
- Maintaining strong working relationships with banks and other internal and external parties daily
- Collating data into spreadsheets
- General administration duties such as filing, mailing, scanning and copying of documents
- Overseas European business trips if necessary
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Accounting knowledge
- Accurate and proven numerical skills
- Good time and task management with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Systematic attitude to work and processes
- Excellent customer service skills
- Cooperative, flexible and “Can do” attitude
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
- SAP (preferable)
- Practical payment experience (preferable)
- Understanding of foreign exchange (preferable)
- Business level of fluency in English

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
