Our Client is one of the UK's largest independent food ingredients suppliers. They are now seeking a **Telesales Executive.** This position is office based in Waltham Abbey and is a full time permanent role.
**Job Purpose**
- To deliver annual targets through the effective telesales management of a portfolio of new and existing customers
- To grow margin and volume whilst managing daily order capture for supplied ingredients whilst working with the external sales team to explore opportunities for supply of new ingredients and new customers
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensures the effective management of a defined customer portfolio to deliver margin and volume growth whilst delivering continuous improvement in Customer Service
- Drive improvement in gross margin through volume gains, product and trade mix
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers to ensure our client is supplier of choice
- Ensures effective order capture and entry into ERP system across defined customer portfolio ensure our client delivers daily service promise
- Manage daily/weekly monthly delivery of Gross Margin and Credit performance targets
- Works with internal and external sales colleagues to drive customer growth and ensures continued development of new business pipeline with clearly reported Business Opportunities
- Manage customer pricing to deliver increased margin per customer and to ensure customers hit minimum drop targets
- Provides internal sales support for external Territory Salespeople on customer pricing administration, quotes and service or quality issues
- Ensure an effective and comprehensive communication network is established and operating to provide the business with timely and accurate information about matters of relevance to our commercial activities
- Develop effective links across the business, especially Commercial, Technical, Credit, Procurement, Marketing and Operations
- Ensures effective management of existing customer base including margin management, customer trials, service levels and complaint resolution
- Ensure prompt action is taken to resolve issues including credit risks, quality issues, management of new accounts, lost business
- Ensure effective and efficient management of all administrative requirements of customers
- Manage sector customers and ensure all relevant information is communicated effectively to the business in a timely manner
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Need to be organised, motivated and energetic
- Commercial experience within B2B trading environment
- Strong track record of delivery of commercial targets
- Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
- Numerate and commercially astute
- Effective time management
- Competent on Word & Excel
