**Supported Accommodation Housing Support Worker**

Adferiad delivers a flexible and coordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced by people with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions and related issues. Vulnerable people facing complex life challenges need consistent and seamless support to ensure they remain engaged with vital health and wellbeing services - and to prevent them becoming disenfranchised and isolated.

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour with additional payments for unsocial hours: weekends; Bank Holidays

**Location**: Cardiff

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our dedicated Adferiad team working in the provision of Personal Domiciliary Care and Support for People with secondary mental health diagnosis. The Adferiad projects are registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW). The care & support is provided to people who have their own individual tenancies, with each person receiving their support from Adferiad staff to maintain their tenancy, independence.

The two separate supported living projects are located in the vicinity of each other in Cardiff. One project is situated in a building which incorporates 5 self-contained apartments, with a sixth apartment as a staff office / occupant’s communal room. The second project is a block of 12 self-contained flats, one flat being the staff office / sleep over room and occupants’ communal area. This community based supported living service supports a preventative and reablement agenda and the wellbeing initiatives as identified within Welsh Government policies and the Social Services and Well-being Act (Wales) 2014.

The service operates 24 hours / 7 days per week, with a shift pattern, including sleep in night shifts (and possibly waking nights). Shifts will include staff lone working.

Under the direction of the Service Manager, work as part of team or lone working to support and improve the lives of people with a serious mental illness.

By contributing to the delivery of Adferiad’s Registered Services in Cardiff, in line with our commitment to principles of empowerment, self-management and recovery and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards inspection and regulation (including Care Inspectorate Wales).
