We're a hybrid workplace - you're expected to be in the office a total of 8 days a month, the rest of the days you can choose whether to work from home or elsewhere. Outside this, there may still be days you will be expected to attend the office or visit client.

We think that as we spend so much of our lives at work, it should be fun - if it's not, then we're doing it wrong. So yes, we have a beer tap in the office (gin and soft drinks are also available).

This role will round out a team of 5, including the Head of Creative.

**About the role**

We’re looking for a super-hungry, talented Senior Creative/Designer with a few years of experience who wants to create exceptional work across a range of disciplines. While this role is multidisciplined, the primary focus will be on design-related projects and tasks.

Working as part of a small design team, you’ll lead in ideating and executing fresh creative that pushes the boundaries of the briefs. You’ll be working alongside the Head of Creative as well as a small team of designers, strategists and marketers across a range of clients and mediums. You'll be expected to have a good working knowledge across a variety of creative disciplines, particularly within design, and feel comfortable jumping between them.

You’ll know your way around (and back again) with the Adobe creative suite, and you'll know how to leverage other mediums (think photography, web, copy) to better deliver on briefs. You’ll have some experience with UI design, and you’ll be expected to receive briefs from clients, interpret what they need, lead junior members of the team on projects, present ideas back to clients and, of course, execute.

**Skills Required**:

- Demonstrable design skills with a very strong portfolio across a range of mediums.
- Able to receive a brief, lead on creative execution and ideation and analyse and solve independently.
- Confident in delivering and presenting concepts, both within the agency and externally to clients.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an agency.
- Good organisational skills, balancing the requirements of a range of projects and the practical organisation itself.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experienced in XD, Figma or Sketch.
- Understanding of the importance of art direction and copywriting, experience in leveraging it yourself, and how to critique it to get the desired outcome.
- Flexible and enjoy working in a high pace, fast-moving and changing environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Leading the development of visual concepts and designs for social media campaigns, ensuring that they align with client objectives and brand guidelines.
- Collaborating with account managers and other members of the creative team to understand client needs and translate them into an effective return to brief.
- Mentoring junior designers and creative team members, helping them to develop their skills and advance their careers.
- Developing, maintaining, and enforcing design guidelines, standards, and best practices within the agency.
- Participating in client meetings and presentations, helping to develop and communicate the creative strategy behind a concept.
- Ensuring that your work is on time and on budget, and at the high standards expected of MK21.
- Using strategic insights and data (where appropriate) to inform your processes and practice, crafting well-structured rationale to support recommendations.
- Communicate with colleagues and clients in a clear, structured and concise manner through appropriate channels and technology.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest design trends and best practices and ensuring that all work is of the highest quality.
- Stay aware of social media platforms development and updates and keep the agency ready to adapt and innovate in their work.
