Environmental Monitoring Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for providing a high level of technical analysis to support our field operations. You will use your environmental knowledge and expertise to proactively identify and respond to indicators of potential Sewage Treatment Work performance issues. You will closely monitor rising trends, and work hand-in-hand with our field operations colleagues to case managing these incidents to an effective resolution.
**What you’ll be doing as an Environmental Monitoring Specialist**
- Monitoring key leading indicator data from our Sewage Treatment Works to identify trends, instigate resolutions and case manage the follow up actions.
- Assist your colleagues in collecting and analysing complex technical data with expert commentary, advice and recommendations, as appropriate.
- Regularly interpret complex weather data, producing reports and actions for our colleagues in the field.
- Identify developments in the relevant technical specialism that may improve the business, and suggest initiatives to the team and/or line manager.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm
Base Location: Kemble Court, Reading RG2 6AD
**What you should bring to the role**
- Excel / powerbi skills would be highly beneficial.
- Strong presentation skills, as well as strong written, verbal technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Experience of working with regulators is beneficial for this role.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving and insight as well as the ability to work well under pressure is key to the crucial role.

- Competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
