Balance Sheet Manager

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Balance Sheet Management team where we are looking to recruit a Balance Sheet Manager.

The Balance Sheet Management team are responsible for managing the Society’s interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB), improving the Group’s net interest margin, and modelling the impact of stress test scenarios. The team are also responsible for theGroup’s Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP) and play a key role in the financial planning cycle.

Reporting to the Head of Asset and Liability Management you will manage a small team of experienced analysts, taking responsibility for managing the day to day workload as well as working on longer term projects that will enhance the IRRBB framework anddeliver valuable insights to senior management regarding the Group’s net interest margin.

About You

You will have experience working in a Balance Sheet Management, Financial Planning or Treasury team and have strong Excel and Presentation skills. You will have Asset and Liability Management /Treasury knowledge with experience in managing and forecastingIRRBB and liquidity risks.

You will be have the ability to effectively lead a team, and be able to effectively communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will also be able to deputise for the Head of Asset and Liability Management where required. A Treasury,ALM or Accountancy qualification would be beneficial to the role.
