Finance Director

_We are currently working in collaboration with one of the UK’s largest Civil Engineering companies. Due to growth within the utilities division they are looking to strengthen the finance department. The position will involve overseeing established frameworksof business with an annual turnover in excess of £250M. _

**_Key Essentials:_**
- Responsible for the company's financial management
- Providing support, advice, and reporting on all aspects of financial management to the MD
- Setting the strategic direction of the company with the MD
- Provide efficient and competitive services to clients while maximising returns for the company
- Financing assets efficiently using appropriate sources of capital including finance / operating leases and company cash flow
- Working with colleagues in the group finance team to maintain strong relationships with capital providers
- Preparation and production of annual budgets and business plans
- Assisting management in analysing financial variances with budgets / forecasts and operational metrics with accurate, reliable, and timely information
- Estimating the cash flow and trading activities in a reliable manner
- In accordance with accounting standards and the group's financial reporting schedule, prepare statutory and management accounts
- Communication with group auditors and management of external audits
- Establishing corporate governance policies and implementing legal requirements

**_Requirements:_**
- Previous experience of operating at a senior financial level in the utilities industry is essential
- The ability to manage and ensure business growth
- Qualified Accountant with an appropriate professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or comparable experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Technically strong with a hands-on approach and the ability to get into the detail and see the bigger picture at the same time

**Due to the nature of the contracts, regular nationwide travel will be required with this position**
