**About the company**:
Our client are a leading innovator in the chemical industry, committed to providing high-quality products while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. They are seeking a dedicated Regulatory Compliance Officer to join their dynamic team and help them navigate the complex landscape of chemical regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Management**: Author, review, and update Safety Data Sheets in compliance with global regulatory requirements, including OSHA, GHS, REACH, and other relevant standards.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure all chemical products comply with local, national, and international regulations. Stay current with changes in legislation and standards that impact product compliance.
- **Risk Assessment**: Conduct risk assessments and hazard classifications for chemical substances and mixtures. Provide guidance on safe handling, storage, and disposal practices.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of regulatory documents. Prepare compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- **Training and Support**: Develop and deliver training programs on regulatory compliance and SDS management for staff and clients. Provide expert advice on regulatory issues.
- **Liaison**: Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies and industry bodies. Foster strong relationships to ensure ongoing compliance and proactive management of regulatory changes.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
**Experience**: Minimum of 3-4 years in regulatory compliance within the chemical industry, with a strong focus on writing and managing Safety Data Sheets is essential.
**Knowledge**: An understanding of chemical safety regulations, including REACh and other international standards would be highly desirable.
**Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
