**Job Title**:Stores Assistant

**Location**:Hayley Rail Manchester, Units 48-50, Westbrook Road, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M17 1AY

**Working Hours**:40 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings _(Additional working hours may be required)_

Working as a Stores Assistant, your main duties will involve the accurate picking of orders, packing and then dispatching these goods via internal and external transport. You will also be required to assist the team in processing stock - receipting goods,completing paperwork and shelving in the correct locations. A key member of the team, you will be required to liaise with other colleagues and departments across the branch network.

Other responsibilities may include:

- Assisting with picking and counterchecking of orders.
- Stock-taking and replenishment.
- Assist with kitting.
- Goods In - receipt of goods, loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Use of forklift trucks, pallet trucks, trolleys and various machinery, including the pallet wrapper and pallet weigher.
- FLT licence is desirable, however not essential.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment would be advantageous.
- Good work ethic.
- Must be PC literate - able to check stock on the computer system.
- Good telephone manner and able to work as part of a team.
- Good problem-solver.

Full training for the role will be provided.
