Maintenance Electrician

**Job Title: Maintenance Electrician**

**Location: Birmingham, B46 (on-site)**

**Salary: £43,000 (includes shift allowance)**

**Shift pattern: 12 hrs a shift ( 3 days on - 3 days off)**

**Key accountabilitis**:

- To attend breakdowns and assist the mechanical teams, being able to respond and act upon the fault report system.
- Work closely with the maintenance & production teams to minimise downtime. To support improvement tasks to increase plant performance.
- To be able to carry out preventative and planned maintenance, keeping the applicable system up to date
- The ability to fault find and test semi & fully automated equipment.,
- Be actively involved in maintaining and improving department and site housekeeping standards
- Ability to read and interrogate PLC data to diagnose solutions

**Job Requirements**:

- to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation
- to update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
- to comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company

**Qualifications**:

- Recognised electrical trade qualification essential
- Experience of Allen Bradley PLC systems desirable
- Knowledge of ASI bus and safety systems
- Knowledge of Piranha PPM system desirable
- IOSH safety qualification desirable

**Interpersonal Skill**:

- Excellent communication skills, written and orally
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
- Team player within department and plant team
