- An excellent opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our reception team based at our Westcliffe Medical Centre in Shipley._
- Key tasks and accountabilities associated with this role are as follows:_
- Meeting and greeting patients providing high standards of patient focused care._
- Communicate effectively, appropriately, and confidently with patients and visitors._
- Provide excellent customer service, deal with all matters in a timely and accurate manner and demonstrate empathy where appropriate and necessary._
- Directing patients to the most appropriate service._
- Support clinicians during clinics by dealing with their queries and tasks as requested._
- Provide chaperoning service were requested by the clinician and/or patient._
- Work closely with and liaise effectively with colleagues both in the reception team and the backroom administration team._
- Fulfil administrative duties as directed by line manager. This will include ensuring consulting rooms are appropriately stocked, registering new and temporary patients, dealing with repeat prescription requests, ringing patients to confirm if they will be attending a clinic appointment._
- General office duties and any other duty as requested by line manager commensurate with the role, including covering for absent colleagues._

Skills, knowledge & Experience_**
- Experience working in a patient focused environment preferably gained in General Practice or NHS._
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of strict confidentiality._
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to always demonstrate empathy and act courteously._
- Able to work on own initiative and under pressure, prioritise workload and function as a team member. The ability to work flexibly is essential._
- NVQ 2/3 Customer service (or equivalent). (Not essential)_- Applicants should be highly motivated with a willingness to learn and develop skills and act as an advocate for the organisation whilst contributing to continuously improving all aspects of the organisation and the service we provide._
