Data Scientist | Mid-Senior Role | Python, MLOps Build and Development Experience | Energy & Commodity Trading
Are you an experienced Data Scientist looking to work for an industry-leading multinational energy company?
Do you have a keen eye for detail, looking for a new challenge to use your Python and Machine Learning knowledge?
One of the world's leading Energy Companies is looking for a Data Scientist to join their experienced team to assist in deploying and developing advanced Machine Learning models, working to review the coding and designs of the other Data Scientists in the team.
Responsibilities include:

- Being an energetic and enthusiastic member of a team uniquely positioned to bring the power of data to bear on the inner workings of the energy industry
- Exploring new datasets, extracting insights, and visualising the results
- Standardising and structuring data in clear, extensible, easily understandable ways
- Helping review the code and experimental design of other Data Scientists to ensure a high level of production quality
- Building data expertise with domain experts in specific aspects of the Client's operations
- Aiding in the implementation of the above models and custom visualisations to help drive business value

Essential Qualifications
- 3-5+ years in industry working as a data scientist with machine learning models applied to real-world data
- Extensive experience presenting complex data visually to a wide audience (plotly, bokeh, etc.)
- Extensive experience exploring and extracting insights from heterogeneous multi-dimensional data sets
- Fluency in Python (3) with the ability to write clean, modular, well-documented code in a collaborative development setting
- Advanced coursework in math, statistics, and machine learning preferred
- Demonstrable attention to detail

Desired Experience
- Time series modelling (both machine-learning and econometric approaches, especially on small datasets)
- Enterprise software development (code design, code review, version control, etc.)
- Cloud-based data science workflows (on AWS in particular)
