**Job summary**:
The Workforce Intelligence and Fusion Area of Responsibility seeks to provide assured Whole Force workforce management information to enable evidence-based decision-making. In addition, to secure alternative workforce solutions, through appropriate governance, to mitigate strength shortfalls.

Within it, Supply Fusion aim to create a single point of contact for demander organisations, able to rapidly deploy human capability to meet accepted/endorsed workforce requirements, but with no identified 'fill' through the normal route. Whilst the initial focus is on Regular gaps being filled on a short to medium term basis until Regular strength recovers, the concept will develop to include any Military and Civil Service demander organisation.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of an adequately resourced and motivated RAF workforce. In doing so, Supply Fusion’s remit is to deliver alternative workforce solutions at the right time, with the necessary skills and experience to meet prescribed roles in support of agreed Defence missions and tasks where there is an absence of regular trained strength.

In the delivery of alternative workforce solutions, the team must balance affordability whilst ensuring business critical requirements are not compromised. In delivering resource, output must be carefully governed to ensure adherence to financial, commercial and Human Resource legislation and policy. This is done in conjunction with Cabinet Office legislation, Crown Commercial Services and other MOD internal policies.

Supply Fusion deliver a diverse array of positions supporting many branches and trades across the RAF. This results in an exciting and innovative approach to business with each new requirement requiring a bespoke route to market. Resource options in delivering alternative workforce solutions include Civil Service fixed term appointments, RAF Reserve solutions and various commercial solutions. With diversity in the positions supported and the associated resource options a careful governance schedule exists to ensure both the organisation and people are adequately supported. Noting this, the aforementioned legislation and policy domains, regular stakeholder engagement is necessary to ensure the continued success and longevity in the delivery of alternative workforce solutions. Examples include cross-TLB engagement to share best practises, commercial engagement with Industry Partners, and internal to Air, engagement with Trade Unions, financial teams, and various units across the Air Estate.

This is an exciting and innovative team which would suit a motivated and passionate individual who is keen to support the organisation by directly enhancing workforce strength, thus championing a workforce fit for today and the future.

This position is advertised at 37 hours a week.
