Directorate: Regeneration & Environment

Full time, 37 hours per week, Temporary contract initially until 31st July 2024.

Rotherham MBC have an ambitious Employment and Skills agenda and are looking to expand our team based with the Rotherham Investment and Development Office (RiDO) to help us deliver our ambitions.

The role will support the continued development of the Enterprise Adviser Network in Rotherham and South Yorkshire. The Enterprise coordinator is pivotal in helping schools and colleges to engage their careers and enterprise activities with the world of work and to make it easier for employers and the self-employed to engage with schools and colleges.

Working as a part of the wider South Yorkshire MCA Careers Hub, and alongside the Council’s current Careers and Enterprise Co-ordinator, the successful applicant will
- Build effective partnerships with secondary schools and colleges and Enterprise Advisers to promote CEIAG in their institutions to all young people

Provide support, coordination, and challenge to school senior leadership teams and careers leaders to contribute to their strategic careers plan.

Proactively engage businesses to support Schools and Colleges through the Enterprise Advisor Network. Identify, introduce and match Enterprise Advisers, from local businesses, to schools and colleges, inducting and equipping them to fulfil the role.

Coordinate regular Enterprise Adviser and Careers Leader meetings.
