Evesham, United Kingdom Salford House Residential Care Home Full time

At Salford House Care Home we are looking for someone to manage the homes maintenance needs with a friendly, flexible and proactive attitude towards maintaining a homely environment for our elderly residents. We would prefer someone who can interact well with people of all ages, has a good sense of humour and willing to work as part of a collective effort to maintain and enhance the environment for everyone. We are ideally looking for someone:

- who can maintain the security of the premises
- partake in the upkeep of external parts of the building
- complete various weekly and monthly checks and audits
- carry out general maintenance and repairs to include basic plumbing, decorating, heating systems, laundry and kitchen equipment
- to maintain weekly fire checks, regular fire drills and ensure the premises fire safety is maintained
- to support our gardener within the grounds of the home as required
- with knowledge of basic woodwork to create basic structures such as radiator covers, and themed structures for activities and events within the home
- to partake in the induction of staff health and safety and fire training
- a willingness to progress and train for additional tasks such as the testing of portable appliances
- who can be available for out of hours emergency situations such as plumbing issues, fire alarm issues etc should the need arise
- who can communicate clearly in a written and verbal format
- who can bring new ideas to enhance the environment for our residents.
