We pride ourselves on serving great produce in a relaxed environment with well trained, knowledgeable and dedicated staff. We are a group of five sites in and around Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan therefore opportunities for progression exist for those who are ambitious to move up the ladder.
The Pilot is a well established and hugely popular Knife & Fork Food venue, known both locally and beyond for its great food and friendly staff.
Previous bar experience is preferred but not essential.
**Main duties & Responsibilities**
Greet customers as they enter the building with a smile and friendly acknowledgement
Serve drinks at the bar or take to table if appropriate, entering immediately into till system
Understand and operate the till system & credit card machine
Lay tables ready for service
Be able to answer questions on wines, spirits, cocktails & beers and advise
customers on choice if necessary.
Be able to answer questions about the menu. Upsell wherever possible
Serve at tables when requested
Be able to operate the coffee machine
Acknowledge customers as they leave
Clear and clean tables once vacated
Keep bar area clean and uncluttered
Operate dishwasher
Assist with checking & putting away deliveries
Assist with general cleaning duties as per the cleaning schedule, to include
maintenance of outside areas
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week
**Salary**: £8.00-£10.50 per hour

**Experience**:
- Bartenders: 1 year (preferred)
