**The Role**

We're looking for a Buyer to cover our Pet category. You will be responsible for ensuring your supply base and the product range is optimised, proactively using data and analysis to maximise performance for your relevant categories. This is all underpinned by driving sales, profitability and share growth to support the overall Ocado Retail strategy and goals.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage supplier performance, identifying potential new suppliers, and support to build long term supplier relationships
- Use insight tools to analyse and understand performance issues and opportunities
- Conduct regular competitor website visits and reviewing customer insight and food trends, helping shape our future product and range requirements for our customers
- Source customer/market insight-led ranges and product innovation
- Negotiate with suppliers to agree and deliver, market-leading joint business plans for your areas aligned to the customer plan & category strategy
- Negotiate on supplier-funded media and delivering against the target
- Plan and deliver trade, promotions & events plans, striving to exceed KPIs, drive customer penetration and basket spend
- Work with the Supply Chain team to ensure we have best-in-class availability, and helping get our products to our customers on time
- Work with suppliers and the category quality team to ensure product quality is achieved and maintained
- Adhere to all Ocado policies, storage, and handover protocols and successfully completing all of your training so that you have zero GSCOP breaches. Ensuring all agreements are recorded in writing, reporting GSCOP complaints to Legal within 48 hours of receipt
- Follow our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
