**ROTEC HYDRAULICS**
**JOB PROFILE**

**JOB TITLE**:LOLER/Hydraulic Service Engineer **DEPARTMENT**:Engineering Services

**REPORTS TO: Service centre Manager**

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
(Key Results areas)
- Conduct thorough inspections of various types of lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER & PUWER
- Identify and document equipment defects, malfunctions, and safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection reports for compliance purposes.
- Service, Repair & Inspect Lifting Equipment on customer sites & the company’s workshop.
- Complete necessary paperwork in line with the companies set procedures.
- Adhering to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations to ensure accurate and effective inspections.
- Work within the guidelines of the Company Quality Management System
- Carry out engineering work at Rotec depots, on-site, and at customer’s premises, as requested by the Service centre Manager or Director of the company.
- Ensure that all work is completed to specification, in accordance with the Company’s procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure that all units assembled are properly tested in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and approved by a nominated person prior to despatch.
- Ensure that all installations are completed in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations.
- Make every effort to ensure work is completed on-time and within budget, identifying additional work not included in the original estimate and reporting information to Workshop Manager.
- Ensure that a full and accurate record of time spent on each activity is recorded on timesheets each week.
- Ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are met & that the relevant Risk Assessments are completed and actioned.
- Ensure the workshop and all working areas are always kept clean & tidy.

**OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Act in a professional and responsible manner always when representing the Company.
- Take advantage of any further product or personal development opportunities offered by the company.
- Ensure timely completion of stock requisitions for all components removed from stock.
- To be available when required for off-site commissioning, service & repair work.
- To be prepared to work out of normal working hours when required.
- Ensure the safe-keeping, regular maintenance, and professional appearance of Company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Adhere to Company Health & Safety policy.
- Thorough understanding of general engineering
- Experienced in reading schematics /circuitry and engineering drawings.
- BTEC, C&G or HNC or similar industry (BFPA or equivalent) qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline
- Sound working knowledge of hydraulic systems, circuits, and components.
- A basic understanding of electrics/electronics would be of benefit, but not essential.
- Understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence

**DESIRED QUAILIFICATIONS**:

- Experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items including Manual/Powered Hoists, conductor trollies plus various other forms for Lifting & Handling Equipment
- LEEA Qualifications, or time served in relevant industry.
- Good knowledge of inspection techniques applicable to Lifting Equipment
- BFPA level 1 & 2 certificate in mobile / industrial hydraulics would be advantageous (not essential training will be given)
- BFPA Foundation Safety Course (not essential training will be given)
- BFPA Hose Assembly Skills Course (not essential training will be given)

**Salary**: £26,500.00-£36,000.00 per year
