**The role**:
Sedgwick Resource Solutions are looking for a customer relations advisor on a 12 months, fixed term contract to work within our Glasgow office for our client, a leading insurance broker.
This role would suit someone who:

- Enjoys providing excellent customer service by going the extra mile to make each customer and client feel listened too, supported and valued
- A problem solver - identifying the root cause, how to best rectify the situation and what steps need putting in place to avoid a reoccurrence
- Can use their initiative to resolve customer challenges/queries efficiently to achieve the best outcome

Using your empathy and understanding, you will record and manage all complaints from customers and our clients. This will include collating and sharing complaint information with insurance claims handlers, loss adjusters and other relevant parties, and working to agreed timescales to successfully manage client expectations. Once shared with your colleagues, you'll take responsibility to drive a plan of action to ensure each complaint is dealt with to a satisfactory outcome and that the customer is happy with the resolution.

**You will have/will be**:

- A sound domestic or commercial property insurance claims background is essential
- Experience in a complaint handling role would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- The ability to defuse difficult situations
- Able to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Able to work on your own initiative and be willing to go that 'extra mile'
- Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
- A working knowledge of Regulatory Complaints and Compliance as it applies to the insurance industry
