They are currently searching for a dedicated and flexible Health and Safety Officer to join their dynamic team. This position will play a pivotal role in providing health and safety support across the company, with a focus on a combination of system management tasks and on-site activities to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are met and maintained.

Your new job
- Dedicated H&S Support: The Health and Safety Officer will provide unwavering health and safety support to the Project Team, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Supplier and Contractor Management: You will collaborate with key suppliers and contractors to ensure strict adherence to health and safety compliance standards.
- Consistent Deployment: The Health and Safety Officer will implement and maintain consistent health and safety standards throughout the company, fostering a culture of safety.
- Site Auditing/Inspection: Regular site audits and inspections will be conducted to identify and rectify potential health and safety hazards.
- Safety Promotion: Actively promoting safety observation practices, the officer will contribute to the development and execution of safety briefings and toolbox talks.
- Contractor Control: They will manage all aspects of contractor control, including vetting, induction management, database administration, and the review and approval of risk assessments and method statements.
- Permits to Work: Issuing and managing permits to work, ensuring all necessary precautions and procedures are followed.
- Training Management: Coordinating the training management system, the Health and Safety Officer will identify and facilitate training needs as required.
What you will need
- Relevant third-level qualification in Safety Management or a recognised qualification in health and safety such as NEBOSH, NVQ or NCRQ and three years’ experience supporting Health and Safety in Construction.
- Familiarity with industry-specific health and safety regulations and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle a variety of tasks.
