**Scenic Finisher**

JRDF are a small but rapidly growing family business, based in South Lanarkshire. We specialise in creating unusual and highly detailed authentic replicas of digital assets, for events/installations and for merchandise. Our manufacturing projects go from small models that sit in the palm of your hand to immersive office spaces that really make you feel like you're in another world.

The Scenic Finisher will work alongside the design and carpentry teams to take built pieces and create full-scale realisations in accordance with the agreed design brief. They will understand and use a broad range of materials and techniques, utilise creative problem solving including the use of non-traditional techniques throughout their work.

**The Role**
- Work alongside the design department to interpret concepts to create samples for client approval.
- Utilise a range of finishing products to paint, spray, texturise and distress built components, including repair and refurbishment of scenic finishes, on site and in the workshop
- Work in close collaboration with the rest of the team to ensure the delivery in a timely and durable manner
- Ensure that work is completed in the correct and safe manner and that current regulations, good housekeeping, guidance notes and approved codes of practice are followed at all times

**The Person**

**Skills & Experience**:

- 2-3 years’ experience in wood/bodyshop finishing
- Experience using spray coating techniques
- Familiarity with COSSH and safe use of scenic substances
- The ability to work well under pressure and understand the demands of the industry
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, while always adhering to deadlines
- Resourceful in sourcing materials and visual references
- Scenic art experience that will cover a wide range of techniques (Desirable)

**Key Information**:
**Salary**: £22-28K commensurate with experience.

Annual Leave: 28 days including Bank Holidays.

Working hours: Monday-Friday 9-5 (flexible with weekend working)
