**Senior Buyer - Antrim - Permanent**
- Family owned business established for 40 years
- Monday to Friday, no weekends

Working in a team of 7, you will be responsible for ensuring all orders are placed, systems pricing is accurate and leading negotiations across a range of key categories. This position has the potential to become a more strategic and leading position within the business. **Duties will include**:

- Source and purchase products and services from local and international suppliers that meet quality, price, and delivery requirements.
- Manage and develop supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, reduce business risk and to drive innovation
- Lead negotiations and contract talks
- Monitors commodity trends and prices to ensure competitiveness and feedback with recommendations
- Manage, maintain and update all current procurement systems
- Prepare and present financial reporting (monthly /weekly) against defined KPIs

**Criteria**:

- A minimum of 5 years within a purchasing / procurement function. (Not essential, but ideally within the manufacturing industry)
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- An organised and methodical approach to working cross-functionally
- Strong analytical and computer skills
- Pro-active in decision-making with keen problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
