**What is the role?**

Our Credit Control team are key to the success of Westcoast - maximizing sales by reviewing and releasing orders in a timely manner, they also strive to continuously reduce the risk of late payments and uninsured debts. In this role you will be able to develop your skills and industry knowledge whilst building great relationships within your team and across the wider business.

Bringing experience of credit control and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced role, you will be responsible for your own set of accounts, identifying and collecting overdue debts and ensuring, where appropriate, that future payments are made to terms whilst ensuring that there is no exposure to the company on uninsured debt.

You will also handle all queries and resolve these within agreed timescales and feed this back to your customers, maintaining a close working relationship with the sales teams, identifying alternative options for extending credit and pro-actively notifying any issues or concerns identified to management.

**If you join us, this is what your day to day will look like**:

- Identify, document and progress to completion all customer queries.
- Process credit stopped orders.
- Ensure all problems and opportunities for customers are resolved effectively and to agreed parameters.
- Recording all information on internal systems, ensuring follow up dates are set.
- Monitor the payment performance of existing customers and advise management of cases where payment performance has significantly deteriorated, and all information relating to insolvency difficulties.
- Assisting with reporting, general administration and preparation of any legal action/claims

**Is this the role for you?**

To be successful in this role you will have some of the following skills and experience, and the desire to develop in other areas:

- Previous experience in a credit control or similar role
- Knowledge of the direct debit process
- Ability to work to deadlines and SLAs in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work well within a team and take a flexible and collaborative approach to tasks.
- A great communicator, internally and externally at all levels, with good customer service skills.
- Well organised and capable of managing your time and prioritising a busy workload.
- Good numeracy and a confident user of Excel
