This role requires you to work onsite at our laboratory.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Support scientists with the day-to-day lab operations
- Maintain a high standard of lab safety throughout the company
- Perform manual, semi-automated and fully automated lab processes
- Use software for tracking lab processes and inventory
- Work independently to improve our lab operations
- Undertake routine maintenance on laboratory instruments
- Perform general lab maintenance e.g. ordering consumables
- Help to coordinate work across teams

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- BSc in molecular biology/ professional qualification/ equivalent experience
- Experience with molecular biology techniques e.g. cloning/transformation, DNA preps
- Experience carrying out automated lab processes
- Industrial experience in a relevant industry
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Attention to detail when carrying out repetitive work in the lab
- Experience following SOPs and reporting non-conformances
- Proven ability to prioritise work to meet key objectives

**Desirable Skills and Experience**:

- Experience in equipment management, such as calibration of equipment
- End user experience of Firefly, S3 Apricot and Dragonfly
- Operational excellence, such as 6s manufacturing processes
- Experience in implementing and maintaining excellent lab health and safety

Title: Research Associate

**Salary**: £26,250 - £30,450

Location: Chesterford Research Park, Cambridge

Holidays: 30 days + UK Public Holidays
