Medical Receptionist

Queensferry Medical Practice is looking for an experienced receptionist and administrator to join our friendly, dedicated team.
A list of duties includes but is not limited to:
**Patient-specific duties**
- Workflow administration for clinical correspondence.
- Patient registrations and deductions.
- Effective reception triage and signposting.
- Processing requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations.
- Maintaining and monitoring the Practice appointments system.
- Processing repeat prescription and acute prescription requests.
**Admin duties**
- Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail.
- Filing and retrieving paperwork.
- Placing orders as required for supplies.
- Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers.
**General duties**
- Provision of refreshments for staff and visitors as required.
- Keeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutter.
- Opening-up/locking-up of Practice premises and maintaining security.
- Abide by all Practice policies, procedures and protocols.
**Working pattern**:
Monday to Friday & will include some 7.45 starts and some 6.30 finishes
