Payroll and Accounts Administrator

**Overview of role**
Megabuyte’s intelligence on UK tech companies holds a distinctive leadership position within the sector, guiding the decision-making of CxOs, investors, and advisers through our subscription research service, packaged consulting service and our events programme.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Payroll and Accounts Administrator to manage our payroll, oversee day-to-day financial operations, and ensure the smooth running of the office. Until now, these responsibilities have been part of a broader role, but the pace of growth in the business has created the need for a dedicated position.
- Please note that this role is office based 3 x set days per week. This role is not suitable for flexible or remote working._
**Key responsibilities**
- Recording and paying of supplier invoices
- Manage credit control
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Monthly Payroll for c25 staff
- Manage and be the main liaison for our auto enrolment pension scheme and employee benefit schemes
- HMRC returns - P32/P11Ds/EMI shares
- Manage and file quarterly VAT returns
- General office management including keeping staff holiday and sickness records, being the main contact for the office, looking after office and kitchen
- General administration duties as required
**Requirements**:
- Extensive knowledge of Xero or an equivalent accountancy package is essential
- Experienced payroll adminstrator
- Well organised and able to multi-task
- Accurate in daily tasks
- A good Communicator
- Work under their own initiative and self-motivated
- Have an excellent telephone manner
- Be confident in using Word and Excel

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00 per hour
