Warehouse Assistant

Adecco are seeking a
**Procurement / Logistics Assistant** to join a company based in Oxford. This role is starting ASAP until the end of the year, working Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm and offering an hourly rate of £13.50 to £15 per hour.

It is a varied role that will support Procurement and Logistics with a number of tasks, so would suit someone hands-on who is happy to get involved and support where needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Receive incoming materials and products, verifying their accuracy and condition against documentation.
- Inspect materials for quality, damage, or defects, and report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Organise and distribute materials to production and relative personnel.
- Safely and efficiently transport materials within the department using appropriate handling equipment, such as gloves and manual pallet trucks and ensure no damage to materials.
- Ensure proper storage and organisation of materials in designated locations, considering factors such as size, weight, and storage requirements.
- Retrieve requested materials or products from storage areas based on works order and prepare them for production and internal distribution.
- Pack and secure materials while kitting and ensuring accuracy and protection against damage during transportation.
- Coordinate with Warehouse personnel to schedule and prioritise works order kitting and ensuring timely delivery.
- Assisting Supply Chain and Warehouse team members on stock take, shipping and packing for sales orders, where applicable.
- Experience in a fast-paced high value/low volume manufacturing environment
- Previous use of lifting gear and equipment desirable
- Experience of receiving incoming goods and attention to detail related to onward processing
- Attention to detail and ability to inspect incoming materials
- Ability to pick up systems
- Good time-keeping and willingness to be flexible where required
