**Job Title**:Machinist / Diamond Miller / Operator

**Location**: Dorking, Surrey

**Salary**: Depending on experience

**Job type**: Part Time/Permanent - Day Shift

**The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities for operator**:

- Operation of machinery including diamond milling.
- Liaise with Shop Floor Manager on timescales and priorities
- Ensure consistent quality of parts produced by detailed checking against drawings
- Ensure all work and raw materials in your area are correctly identified with the relevant paperwork
- Work with QA personnel on addressing any issues and supporting continuous improvement actions.

The role is suitable for someone with experience of operating machinery in a factory environment with some general mechanical/technical skills. Experience working with tight tolerances would be advantage.

**Essential Skills & Experience**:

- Able to read 2D technical drawings with tolerances and follow clear instructions
- Experience operating manual and automatic machinery.
- Able to use manual measuring equipment
- Willingness to learn and progress

**Nice to have Experience**:

- Diamond Milling
- Manual or CNC milling machining
- Turning
