As our Team Leader, you will be responsible and accountable for the 24 hour management of the supported individual’s home. The Team Leader will also responsible for managing the staff team according to Glenelg Support Limited’s policies and procedures

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring employees follow procedures in line with external quality and regulatory standards as well as contractual requirements
- Supporting people to maintain their tenancy in line with their rights and responsibilities to their landlord, co-tenants and the wider community
- Assisting in recruitment and selection of new staff
- Ensuring thorough induction in accordance with company policy and procedure
- Ensuring all contracted hours within the home are covered and making necessary arrangements to cover for annual leave, sickness, training, etc.
- Undertaking shift work to include days, evenings, nights, sleep-in and weekends
- Contributing to the formulation of support plans, risk assessments, Health Action Plans and ELP’s
- Ensuring employees provide detailed reports within supported individuals personal plans including outcomes, risk assessments, ELP’s and Health Action Plans
- Ensuring support is provided to people in a person centred, individual way and that this support is recorded and monitored appropriately to realise achievements for supported individuals
- Promoting complaints procedure in a way that allows individuals to feel they can express any concerns or complaints and know that they will be taken seriously and dealt with effectively
- Promoting the duty of care to ensure supported individuals are protected in line with local safeguarding protocols
- Working with families to foster open, honest communication and promote a willingness to continuously improve the service their family member receives

**Requirements**:
**Essentials**:

- Driving License
- 2 years experience in Social Care
- Experience complex behaviours
- Team Leader / Supervisor experience - preferably in a Social Care setting

**Experience**:

- Social Care Team Leader / Supervisor: 1 year (required)
- Social Care: 2 years (required)
