Process Technologist

As Process Development Technologist you will validate product developments and provide appropriate documentation and support to promote customer acceptance and deliver seamless product launches
- Input recipes onto the recipe management system to assess the cost and nutritional information and ensure delivery against the brief
- Brief new, revised and repeat material requirements to the NPD buyers and packaging innovation team to ensure the correct resources are available for product development and factory trials
- Accurately prepare all necessary documentation (feasibility forms, customer submission forms, customer and factory specifications) to progress from concept to process handovers prior to Product Developer approval
- Undertake recipe/ingredient validation and packaging tests in line with the NPD procedures e.g. cooking validation, setting critical quality control points, weight validation checks, freezer and transit trial tests, to ensure we develop repeatable sustainablequality products
- Follow the critical path time lines as directed, escalating incomplete tasks and deficiencies in testing, to ensure that mitigating action can be taken to prevent delays in product acceptance and launch
- Responsible for planning, preparation and conducting line trials to ensure outputs are fully documented with adherence to food safety, production quality standards and customer requirements
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and attend scale up trials for new raw materials to ensure that they are of a repeatable and sustainable quality, matched against the approved kitchen sample and the specification signed off by the customer

**What we’re looking for**:
- Graduate calibre with a consumer science degree; may have entered via an apprentice route
- Awareness of project management techniques in particular critical path and gated processes
- Previous experience of working in a fast paced environment (may have been a work placement)
- Good food knowledge
- Analytical and numerate
- Good communication skills
