Little Feet are looking to appoint a nursery officer to join our enthusiastic, caring and skilled team. This appointment offers you an excellent opportunity to be part of this growing nursery.
The nursery has an excellent reputation and is looking for a professional Nursery officer with the following qualities:
- Will ideally hold a minimum level 2 or above in Childcare qualification
- or be willing to underdake a childcare qualification.
- Have excellent knowledge of the EYFS
- Have strong knowledge of planning, facilitation and assessment for children
- Be flexible with working hours and shift patterns
- Hold, or be willing to gain a food hygiene certificate
- Be willing to continue their professional development
- Have a solid understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and cultural capital
- Be able to use initiative, be proactive and work as a team member
- Be willing to commit to nursery for a period to ensure stability and reassurance for our children
Nursery officer Job Description
- To provide a high standard of care for all our children in the setting, taking into account the physical, social, emotional and intellectual aspects
- To implement daily routines in chosen room
- To support team and extended nursery personnel
Nursery officer Duties and responsibilities
- Deliver exciting, interesting and informative activities to the children in your room
- Assess key children using tapestry online portal
- Create strong relationships with parents
- Liaise with the DSL and SENCO where necessary
- Attend staff meetings
- Be flexible and open to all roles in nursery to support colleagues
- Undertake child stories, short and long observations
- Have a holistic approach to the nurture and care of all children in nursery irrespective of culture, race, background or stage of development
- Be professional at all times both in and out of nursery
- Respect confidentiality
- Adhere to all nurseries policies and procedures
**Experience**:
- 1 years experience (minimum)
**Education**:
- Diploma of Higher Education
Part-time hours: 40 per week
- lunches and breaks are paid.

**Salary**: £9.50- £10 per hour, depending on experience.
