Senior Npd Technologist

To manage development projects that ensure we produce great food that we are proud of. To work with cross functionalities to drive the management of projects through the development process. Work with the wider NPD team and operation teams to provide delivery of the projects in a timely manner to ensure that projects are delivered on time and in full.

**Project coordination**

Work alongside other key stake-holders to manage projects and coordinate project teams. Deliver projects to hand-over stage and ensure their execution meets the time,quality and cost requirements as per the Project’s brief.

**Support cross functional team**

Communicate and manage all critical paths progress with the cross functional team ensuring regular progress updates. Alongside project stakeholders ensure issues are resolved at the front end of the process.

**Manage all product development briefs**

Interpret product development briefs ensuring innovative and technologically competent solutions are in line with the project brief, customer expectations, operational constraints and commercial needs. Follow the product development project through from concept to process handover.

**Facilitate continuous improvement**

Continually develop and update product development and technological knowledge.

**Development team support**

To work closely with the Customer & Brand Managers, Purchasing team, process & Site teams to support the brand and retailer agendas and deliver projects.

**Market and consumer trends**

Maintain awareness of market, consumer and restaurant trends and competitor activity to identify potential business opportunities.

**Absenteeism cover**

From time to time provide cover for other team members.

**Blue Sky**

Actively engage blue sky thinking and put forward well-thought out concepts with clear rationale

**Sample Making**

Support the kitchen to deliver customer or development samples

**Process**

To understand the basics of thermal processing and ensure products are developed safely and legally. To validate development projects.

**Raw Material Sourcing**

Liaise with procurement to organise the sourcing and approval of ingredients.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00 per year
