- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on HGVs, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections to identify and address potential issues before they impact vehicle performance.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in HGVs.
- Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Use computerised systems for logging service tasks and generating reports.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure HGVs meet safety and compliance standards.
- Identify and rectify defects promptly to prevent breakdowns.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to industry regulations and standards.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and implement necessary updates to fleet procedures.
- Work closely with the workshop team and other relevant departments to coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Provide support and expertise to colleagues on technical matters.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergencies promptly, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
- Propose and implement preventive measures to reduce the risk of future breakdowns.
