Towbar Fitter

Key Responsibilities:
**Towbar Fitting**:*
- Install towbars on various types of vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
- Ensure proper electrical connections for towbar systems, including wiring for lights and indicators.

**Trailer Repair**:*
- Diagnose and repair faults in trailers, including braking systems, lighting, suspension, and structural components.
- Perform regular maintenance and servicing of trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation.

**Workshop Operations**:*
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Use and maintain tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Ensure all work is completed to customer satisfaction and in a timely manner.

**Requirements**:
**Experience and Skills**:*
- Proven experience in fitting towbars and repairing trailers.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license.

**Desirable skills - but not essential**
- B+E Towing license
- Valid Counter Balance Forklift license

- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Working Conditions**:*
- The role involves physical work and may require lifting heavy objects.
- Work is primarily conducted in a workshop environment, but occasional off-site work may be required.

**How to Apply**:*

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:
