You'll be part of the NPD team, based in Southall and reporting to the Senior Bakery Technologist, the Sample Coordinator is in charge of managing all samples from the request all the way to the confirmed delivery including baking & quality control.

**Please note: due to the nature of the role there will be some days you will be expected to start earlier to prepare for site visits. Please be aware that flexibility for shift times is expected.**

**Main responsibilities**:

- Manage samples requests from marketing, commercial and technical teams
- NPD samples - manage receipt of samples in coldstore and liaise with CDMs to acknowledge receipt and define next steps
- Current Délifrance samples - Establish and update on a regular basis a list of most sampled products. Ensure stock levels are at a satisfactory level and re-order samples as required
- Ensure that samples have been stored in the correct place and the correct condition in the coldstore
- Manage the sample area in the coldstore - samples stored safely, sample stock rotation and destruction if applicable
- Prepare samples with care - baking, control and sort products, package appropriately, label and add any relevant paperworks
- Organise and dispatch samples using logistics partners/ couriers
- Responsible for all associated administration of samples, including booking couriers, cost management
- Help with the management of NPD samples during trials in factory
- Set up a samples database and ensure that it is regularly updated
- Help to manage the test bakery facility, maintaining a clean and tidy area, with test bakery freezer samples clearly marked and organised
- Other duties as may be required from time to time as directed by Senior Bakery Technologist, Head of Innovation or designate

**Main competencies include**:

- Good organisational, administrative and communication skills in English (both verbal and writing)
- Good level of numeracy
- Computer literate (ability to use Excel & Word)
- Commercially and customer aware
- Able to work on own initiative or as part as a team
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Good attention to details
- Ability to understand product quality
- Knowledge of logistics processes
- Baking experience
- Willingness to go regularly into the coldstore
