As R&D Industrialisation Technologist you will be the link between R&D Test Bakeries, large scale bakery manufacture, product development project delivery and technical information for specification generation. You will have good working knowledge of the product development process, with key focus on industrialisation, scale up and process delivery in an operations setting.

You will be confident in organising and running trials, pre production runs and launches, ordering and ensuring materials are on site on time and ensuring all documentation is completed and communicated to key stakeholders. As this is a group role, you will need to be able to travel between sites and be present for key project milestones.

Interaction between functions and working in partnership with key stakeholders to understand current challenges and objectives, will be vital to the success of this role.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Take project handover from test bakery to scale up to full production scale manufacture through series of product & packaging trials.
- Completion of documentation to the high standards required for the trials, pre-production runs and launches.
- Ensure project critical paths are met to deliver project OTIF.
- Support / hold pre trial meetings to ensure all stakeholders and informed and engaged in trials and launch phase
- Ensure all materials are ordered and in place when required for trials.
- Accountable for the completion of documents for new products and processes for commercial scale-up, (raw materials, production line layout, finished product specifications).
- Develop and maintains effective working relationships with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, sites operations, engineering, materials / production planning, Quality / Technical, RB&P, Project Managers
- Ensuring all information and data is collected from trials to complete detailed documentation for launch handover specifications
- Assess products against agreed QAS to ensure trials meet the brand standard.
- Maintain shelf life assessment of trial products and report.
- Support Industrialisation Manager in attendance in bakeries production planning meeting to ensure project trials dates are agreed and locked down in advance.
- Problem solves and report trials, advising on methods for successful delivery of products.
- Manages stocks of trial materials and trial products

**How to be successful in the role and at FBC**
- 2 years’ experience in a Process Development role, large scale bakery beneficial
- Good understanding and strong interest in food product development
- Good understanding of manufacturing capabilities, products, process flows and HACCP systems.
- Experience in working with all level company business partners
- Experience of Hamilton-Grant database is desirable.
- Experience of allergen control is desirable.
- Knowledge of food legislation is desirable.
- High level of computer literacy - Microsoft Excel/Word and Internet/SAP.
