Equine Groom Apprentice

This is an exciting opportunity to learn from one of the country's top show producers learning all the skills you would need for a successful career in the equine industry whilst gaining a level 2 in horse care. But if you already hold a level 2, a level 3 may be considered for the right person.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Turning in and out of horses
- Morning muck outs
- Grooming
- Field chores
- Yard chores
- Tack cleaning
- Clipping
- Exercising horses

**Desired qualifications**
- GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent in Maths and English desired but not essential.
- Applicants ideally must not already hold a level 2 or higher in Horse Care.
- If you already hold a level 2, a level 3 may be considered.
**Future prospects**
- On completion you will have all the skills required for a full time position in the equine industry.
- Yard Manager / Senior Equine Groom
**Training**
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
**Things to consider**
- KEITS reserves the right to close this vacancy earlier than advertised if required.
- Ideally applicants would need to access to reliable personal transport due to rural location and poor public transport links.
- Located within Epping Forest itself, this quiet secluded spot gives instant access to an expansive off road hacking network of bridleways, surfaced tracks and natural forest rides.

**Job Type**: Apprenticeship
Pay: From £6.40 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
