A brilliant long-term Learning Support Assistant role has become available, working with pupils with SEMH needs and SEN.

** Learning Support Assistant role, starting immediately
** £350 - £425 per week
The Learning Support Assistant:
For this Learning Support Assistant role, you must have school-based experience in a similar position. You must have GCSE’s in both English and Maths, and be able to support pupils academically. You should be a patient, resilient Learning Support Assistantwith great communication skills and a solid understanding of the additional needs of the pupils you are working with. You should have excellent behaviour management skills, taking a trauma-informed, person-centric approach to your work.
The Learning Support Assistant Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be providing in-class support for students who require assistance with their work. You will also assist the teaching staff with managing classroom behaviour and providing pastoral support where required. As a LearningSupport Assistant, you will be working with children with significant SEMH needs, SEN and challenging behaviour. You will also be providing vital intervention support for pupils in need of additional assistance, either academically or pastorally.
The School:
The school is a fantastic Alternative Provision based in Walsall, catering for pupils in KS3 and KS4 with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour that cannot be supported by mainstream settings. The school also has a high intake of pupils with SEN, primarily Autism.The Leadership team is superb and offers excellent support to its students and staff.
