**Night Stock Controller (OFFICE BASED)**
**Salary: £33,000 - £35,000**
**Working Hours: 44 Hrs (Monday - Friday Nights) - 1 hour unpaid break**
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Reporting to the Night Shift Warehouse Manager, this person will be the main contact for the day shift Logistics Team and will be responsible for a clear and detailed handover at the end of each shift.
We operate two main sites within Wednesbury less than one mile apart. The main objective of this position is to ensure that all orders placed on us are picked, loaded, checked off and despatched within the required time frame, and all accompanying paperwork and downloads are also completed to our customers/stakeholders requirements.
You will be responsible for developing the team and maintaining a safe, efficient and customer focussed operation.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist the Supervisory/Management Team in training and developing, organising, and motivating a competent team of Logistics Operatives.
- Understanding planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems
- Deliver excellent customer service by prioritising, allocating and monitoring the workloads to ensure that all material is processed and delivered on time.
- Tracking the progress of shipments
- Work with your team and other supervisory staff to continually improve efficiencies in the warehouse and logistics.
- Continually develop your personal skills and knowledge to improve the effectiveness of your role.
**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Be a team player who can motivate and manage individuals to work together to achieve the same goal
- Be committed to working safely and have a good knowledge of the Health and Safety aspects and procedures of all areas
- Good communicator who will monitor performance, seek improvements and carry out training.
- The ability to work within a team and driven to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to maintain discipline and handle daily performance issues in a direct but reasonable manner
- Experience of introducing and developing change to achieve productivity and efficiency gains
