Seasonal Boatyard Worker

Small but busy boatyard seeking a **Seasonal Boatyard Worker** to join our small friendly team. Above the Brine Ltd, based at Victoria Dock Marina, Caernarfon, is a family run business. We share a passion for boating and our mission is to provide our customers with high quality workmanship at competitive prices in a welcoming environment.

This is a full-time post with an immediate start. We offer a competative salary based on experience, paid bank holidays and opportunities for time off in lieu. Some additional early starts, late finishes and occassional weekends may be required.

**The Role**:
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Pressure washing and cleaning hulls when they are removed from the water
- Minor repairs to hulls prior to painting
- Sanding and painting and general boat maintenance work.
- Boat cleaning and polishing
- General tidying, cleaning and support with workshop and boat yard tasks
- Assisting customers with launching from the slip, this includes supervision during self-launches and use of tractor for assisted launches.
- Keeping yard & workshop is clean and tidy
- Other duties that the role may require.

- It can be quite a physical job so you will need to be physically fit

- Flexibility in working hours to ensure the job gets done (additional hours paid for)

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience of working in a busy boatyard, preferable but not essential
- Full clean driving licence
- RYA boat handling Level 2 (or similar), preferable but not essential
- Licence to tow, preferable but not essential
- Forklift experience / ticket preferable but not essential
- Experience / trained in operating a tractor preferable but not essential
- Experience / trained in slinging preferable but not essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Freelance
Contract length: 6-8 months
