**Purpose**:To provide 1:1 support to designated students

**Reports to**:Head of Study Skills Main Responsibilities:

- To be able to act as a scribe, reader and/or invigilator in exams
- To adapt materials, where appropriate, to suit the student’s learning needs within the overall aim of enabling greater learner independence
- To assist in practical lessons to enable the student full access to the curriculum
- To discuss and follow up after the lesson the key content of the lessons
- To clarify homework and help with time management
- To be a supportive mentor and motivator in helping students cope with academic study
- To help ensure a safe working environment of the students with particular needs
- To help ensure safe access to all parts of the site for students with particular physical needs
- To provide assistance with personal care when necessary

**Accountabilities that relate to all staff;**
- Demonstrate behaviour and values consistent with the person specification for this role

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
