Coordinate the daily flow of customer scheduling, servicing, and check out.
- Multi-tasking is key.
- Effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent knowledge of the industry and trends impacting the salon.
- Excellent personal/social skills when dealing with vendors, customers, co-workers, and Owners.
- Flexible. Able to adapt to sudden changes throughout the day.
- Freely and openly take direction from Owners and Stylists.
- Handle cash and other tenders of payment.
- Learn and effectively use salon’s computer system including updates.
- Perform light administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner.
- Quick decision maker.
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, staff, or vendors.
- Run a front desk area in an efficient manner and never leaving the area unattended.
- Sell - in person and over the phone. This includes up-selling.
- Team player, supportive of Stylists’ and Owners’ needs.
- Staff discounts on hair and products.
- Basic wage plus, commission and bonus'.
This will be over 2 days a week, possibly 3, and will be swapped each week, i.e.,
Every Friday 9:30-7:00. However Tuesday 9:30-5:00, Saturday 9:00-5:00 alternating each week so you will only have to work every other Saturday.
But will need to cover the other 2 days if the other reception is on holiday to cover each other.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
