The Mayor of London’s Operations Team is currently recruiting to a number of roles in our fast paced, dynamic team.

**Principal accountabilities**
- To provide advance and operational support for all of the Mayor’s external events, including briefing the Mayor directly in advance of and at events on format, logistics and in response to queries from the Mayor.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders ahead of and during events, ensuring the smoothing running of events.
- Complete post-event evaluations and take ownership for follow-up actions.
- Assist with the Mayoral sign-off process, ensuring the Mayor’s views are conveyed both internally and externally as appropriate.
- Work with the Mayor’s Office, press and digital teams to help co-ordinate and deliver digital communications including relating to meetings and events, in line with the Mayor’s priorities.
- Work with colleagues to ensure that all materials meet the Mayor’s expectations and to provide answers and further information as required from the Mayor, including through rigorous and original research when appropriate.
- Ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Mayor’s Office by helping to manage the day to day flow of papers, correspondence and briefing materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders relevant to the role, including the Mayor’s personal contacts.

**Technical requirements/experience/qualifications**
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role supporting a politician or senior manager in a busy and complex environment.
- Proven ability to provide research within a political or complex business environment, on a wide range of topics, assimilate information and review correspondence in a political environment.
- Successful track record of researching a developing a diverse range of briefings within a complex political environment.
- Knowledge of understanding of the political landscape in London and the issues facing a major world city.
- Ability to prioritise work in a dynamic and ever changing environment.
- Understanding of the GLA’s commitment to diversity and equality.
