2Agriculture is an independent milling business which has been supplying feed to the poultry industry for the past 50 years.
Every day here at 2Agriculture we work with talented, dedicated colleagues to produce sustainable, premium quality feed enabling our farming partners achieve the highest standards of poultry and positively impact on our health, communities and the environment.
Service is at the heart of the team at 2Agriculture where over 250 employees work across five sites. Our feed mills operate to the highest standards set for product quality, with a specialist production team monitoring output ensuring zero or mínimal mill downtime. Our fleet of over 50 Lorries operate 24/7 ensuring feed arrives on time and in full, with a real focus on biosecurity prior to delivery, on site and during departure.
**Role Profile**
The role of the Mill Assistant is to enable the efficient operation of the mill production system, supporting key operational areas to ensure quality and production needs are met in order to deliver business objectives.
Throughout this role you will be required to undertake hygiene duties, such as cleaning all spillages and work areas as required, mitigating risks to health and safety, and preventing a negative impact on quality standards. You will manage aspects of quality control by proactively seeking solutions where abnormalities occur, responding to any incidents or environmental concerns and promptly notifying the Mill Management team of any concerns which are considered to merit immediate attention. You will continually assist in maintaining audit standards and ensure corrective processes are in place to address non-conformances. A further aspect of this role will involve the use of a fork lift truck, ensuring adherence to health and safety at all times.
You will also provide mill cover when required, carrying out the efficient operation of all aspects of the feed mill production system, ensuring all relevant Health & Safety and quality control procedures relating to the production of compound animal feed are adhered to. This will require operation of heavy-duty machinery. A further aspect of your role will be providing weighbridge cover; this involves accurately and efficiently weighing incoming raw materials and outgoing feed vehicles on the site weighbridge.
**Essential Skills and Experience Required**
We are looking for someone that works effectively as part of a team and collaboratively with other operational areas, establishing good relationships, in order to meet increasing productivity and quality targets. You should be able to take ownership of work, demonstrating a logical ability to decide on the most appropriate course of action whilst working under mínimal supervision in a fast-paced work environment.
