Flt Operator

**The Role**:
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be based on our Much Wenlock Distribution Hub. You will be responsible for the efficient management of stock and picking, loading and unloading of vehicles. There will be potential to progress in the role and take on further responsibilities should you wish to do so. Shifts are 8 hours each day 6:00 am - 14:00pm / 14:00pm - 22:00pm alternating each week with a 30 minute paid lunch break.

**Main Duties**:

- To unload, pick and load and transport stock on site as required
- To operate the forklift truck in a safe and responsible manner according to our Forklift Truck Operating Policy.
- To observe all site Health and Safety procedures as displayed on the relevant notice boards
- To perform inductions of new staff and request training where required
- To observe all company quality rules and guidelines when unloading, handling and loading stock
- To avoid damage to forklift trucks through carelessness or incorrect operation
- To report any defects or faults regarding forklifts to the Shift Supervisor in a timely manner
- To perform allocated tasks in a professional and responsible manner
- To be responsible for labelling finished product when necessary, repacking damaged or defective product and maintaining high standards of housekeeping on site
- To ensure stock rotation is observed at all times using the FIFO (First In, First Out) rule
- To ensure stock rows or warehouse locations are correctly and clearly labelled
- To adhere to the Site Plan for stock location at all times
- To perform any other duties not listed above as requested by a senior manager.

- Will have a passion for upholding our ‘right first time’ work ethic
- Will be able to commit to working until the day’s tasks are completed.

**Training**:
You will be asked to complete both training courses and assessments to further your skill sets and abilities, these will be agreed with your line manager.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Forklift Truck Drivers: 1 year (preferred)
