**Your new company
**An independent ecology and arboriculture consultancy with national coverage. Most of their work is conducted in the Midlands and the South East.
They are reliable providers of a range of ecological services to many different types of domestic and commercial client for over 10 years.
They are experts in all forms of ecological and arboricutural surveys.
**Your new role**
My client is keen to appoint a senior ecologist / ecology lead to the business. They are looking for someone that is capable of working independently and driving forward a team. The company currently subcontracts the majority of their ecology work and as such,are looking to bring this in house.
Once you have cemented your position in the business, you will start building a team around you to support and grow the business (with the help of me)
This is a unique opportunity for a pro-active ecologist looking to come away from the bureaucracy of a large company and gain some independence.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will have a robust understanding of the sector, all surveys and reports, relevant licenses and a good understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), BREEAM, CfSH and the ability to manage and liaise with clients effectively.
- A proven track record in consultancy
- Full UK Driving License & vehicle
- Can do, flexible and professional attitude
- Excellent UK survey skills
- Excellent written English
- Strong client management skills
- Business acumen & commercial awareness
- Level 1 Bat license (as minimum)
